We always see our Lord as very merciful and compassionate God

‘If then, you act with hostility against Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins.’ Lev 26:21

We always see our Lord as very merciful and compassionate God. It is very true. But do we, also know His standards are very high. The Lord said be Holy for I am Holy. Let us not take grace lightly and think just a casual sorry will save us from the Lord. Here Lord is telling to Moses, warn the people if the people are continuing in sin, then Lord will punish them severely. Oh! Is it just the Old Testament standards? No Hebrews 10:31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. There will be time when Lord will stop listening, like what happened to 5 virgins (bridegroom came closed the door, they are outside, for they were found lacking in oil). Will we be caught lacking in commitment.

Let us take a decision Lord I do not want to continue in sin. Can we sincerely ask God like David “Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.” Psalm 19:13. Let us be serious of Holy Living and decide like Daniel “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself” Dan 1:8 Let us run from the place where we have possibility of sinning. Joseph ran from Potiphar’s wife. Paul asked Timothy “But you, Timothy, man of God: Run for your life from all this (Youthful Lust). Pursue a righteous life” 1 Tim 6:11. Are you runnning from sin?

Prayer

Lord, help me be very much disciplined and I will live a life of Obedience. Anoint me to carry your burden and fulfill your purposes with help of Your anointing. Amen.
