But the LORD your God will cross over ahead of you like a devouring fire to destroy them. He will subdue them so that you will quickly conquer them and drive them out, just as the LORD has promised. Deu 9:3
Thought
How many times we felt, when we are getting closer to God, we face all sort of problems. We immediately come to the conclusion that evil one is against you with all his schemes. We over estimate the defeated enemy and forget who has gone in front of us. “God will cross over ahead of you like a devouring fire” Deu 9:3 and when He goes in front, He always “He will subdue them” Deu 9:3. Remember when you are getting closer to God, are you in front and asking Jesus to follow. Or is Jesus leading the way. The feeling that we are close to God itself is most of the times from our efforts.
Lord goes in front and defeated the enemy on the cross so that we “will quickly conquer them” Deu 9:3, no more place of devil in you life, satan’s right place is under your feet. Lord gave us authority over satan and his schemes, to “drive them out,” Deu 9:3. Never forget it, we are given promise(word) to defeat the evil one “just as the LORD has promised” Deu 9:3. Stop watching at the destructions that satan does in your life and be helpless. Now rise up, claim the promise (Deu 9:3) and believe the word, and REBUKE the evil one.
Prayer
Lord, I grumble and cry out to you when ever I am in trouble. Lord, I know, You have gone in front of me as a devouring fire. In the name of Jesus I rebuke the evil one and his schemes. Amen.
