Parents Pray for your Children.
Verse
Mark 9:23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”
Thought:
One man had brought his son who was mute to Jesus to be healed in Mark 9. We see in the bible many parents bringing their children to Jesus, Jairus Daughter raised from death, Nain Widow’s son raised from death, Canaanite woman’s daughter who was demon possessed was healed. Let us as parents run to Jesus for the healing of our children.
Father’s Prayer : Mark 9:22 “… But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us” Father spoke to Jesus about the need, that His son was sick and when the demon come upon the son child falls into fire or water, and he said Lord Jesus if you can do something please do have compassion on us. Here the father limited Jesus. We too limit Jesus by doubting and trusting on doctors more.
Father’s Conviction : Mark 9:23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Here Jesus reminds the Father if anyone believes in Jesus and whatever the person depend on Jesus will happen. These words of Jesus convicted the Father
Father’s Confession : Mark 9:24 “Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Father cried out to Jesus, yes Lord I want to believe; help me Lord to overcome my unbelief. Jesus responded to this confession by healing the child. Let us also confess our unbelief.
Prayer
Oh Lord I bring my both children to you; Daddy. Father Lord; heal my whole family. Lord if not for you; who else we have. I put my trust in you Lord and in the grace of Jesus and leading of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
