Verse:
And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.. Acts 19:19,20
Thought:
When Paul was in Ephesus, many came to the Lord. Those who came to the Lord had so many valuable books and other things by which they did evil practices, they brought all things and burned, it valued 50000 pieces of silver. They not only stopped the practices but they also destroyed everything that could lead them to sins. The word says, because they destroyed the chances they have to sin, the word of God grew mightily and it prevailed.
Do you have anything in your personal belonging that you could use to sin when you fall. Do you have any relationships that are passive at this moment, which could lead you to sin when you fall? Deny all those things that might lead you to sin. Lord commanded Moses to destroy everything that belongs to the enemies when Israelites conquer their enemies. When you conquer the sinful habits, leave the things, thoughts and the people that lead to those sinful habits.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to deny the acts of sin and destroy things that lead me to sins. Amen.
