Verse:

Thought:
People of Israel had a great victory at Jericho, the walls of Jericho fell when people shouted to the Lord, the very next chapter when they go and fight a comparatively small enemy they lose, because just one man called Achan had hid in the ground, the things He took from Jericho, which was supposed to be destroyed. Joshua cries to the Lord when they lost the battle, 36 people were killed. Lord said; I will not go anymore with you until you destroy the sin your midst. Jos 7:12. Let us stop playing around with sins, start hating sin. “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil,” Pro 8:13
Achan coveted the things of the world that was beautiful and took few things, He did not use it but hid so later He could use it. Do you still have properties of the world that could lead you to sin later? Do you still enjoy some secret sins, which looks ok now and there is no consequences now? Do we ignore small lies, little compromises, etc? Remember when sin is there in our lives, Lord will not come with us when we face the attacks from the enemy. Purge the sin; bible says “He who keeps his sins secret will not do well” Prov 28:13. So let us confess with a broken heart “But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.” Prov 28:13.
Prayer:
Lord, let there not be any secret sins in my life. Lord, help me to live in high standards as per the bible. Help me to lead many people to live Holy. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
